Pop Up Lunch with Sham Hanifa at Everett’s
Hosted by Peter Everett at the award winning Everett’s Restaurant, proprietor and head chef at The Cottage Restaurant, Co. Leitrim, Sham Hanifa will produce a very special lunch event at this year’s Waterford Harvest Festival.
The Cottage Restaurant nestles into a quiet scenic spot next to the river in Jamestown where Sham Hanifa has created something very special. His heritage and story coupled with his love of all things Irish, culminate in an award winning restaurant and it’s no wonder that this little gem is known not just locally or nationally but globally!
Sham’s cooking is a subtle blend of Asian influences from his mother’s kitchen, to modern Irish and European favourites. At Harvest, Sham will present a multi course lunch featuring the very best wholesome Irish flavours with a Malaysian twist.
Winner of the ‘Best Restaurant in Leitrim' and ‘Best Chef in Leitrim’ on multiple occasions as well as ‘Best Restaurant in Connaught’, Sham is no stranger to awards and accolades. Sham has featured prominently in the McKennas’ Guides 100 Best Restaurants over the past decade including this year, where The Cottage is said to be “one of the best eating experiences in the county”. Sham is a resident chef on the Shannonside/Northern Sound radio and also features on the Six O’Clock show, sharing his recipes with the nation.
Tickets include a multi-course lunch with wine parings from Wines Direct.
The event will be introduced by John and Sally McKenna of the prestigious McKennas’ Guides.
Early booking is advisable, tickets from Everett’s.
