Walsh’s Bakehouse Producers Dinner with the GastroGays

Waterford has a long and diverse food heritage dating back over 1100 years. Once one of the busiest ports in Europe, Waterford has a rich trade history with a strong backbone of fare and firsts. Most notably it was the first part of Ireland to taste tea, coffee, spices and wine which were brought to the city from exotic locations around the world.

To honour this legacy at Harvest 2019 we have teamed up with Walsh’s Bakehouse and invited our good friends The GastroGays to help us celebrate amazing food made locally and inspired by Waterford’s history of great cuisine. What better place to host this event than the Parlour Vintage Tea Rooms housed in the old Port of Waterford building in the Cultural Quarter.

Expect a taste of modern Waterford with food from some of our best local producers on the menu, obviously including the revered Blaa! Bring your appetite and a sense of adventure to this relaxed event and, as well as tasting great food, you’ll also get a chance to meet the makers, all in the most wondrous venue in Waterford.
